In this policy, “us”, “our” and “we”, “SuperGuide.com.au” or “SuperGuide” refers to SuperGuide Pty Ltd ACN 142 266 359 as trustee for the SuperGuide Unit Trust and “you” and “your” refers to you, the client, visitor, or user of the SuperGuide website (including the SuperGuide Premium service): www.superguide.com.au (‘Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service) ’ or ‘SuperGuide Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service)’).
Personal information is defined in the Privacy Act and means information and or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.
What information we collect
If you are a SuperGuide email newsletter subscriber or SuperGuide Premium subscriber, the personal information we collect about you includes your email address and any other information that you choose to provide to us, such as your name, year of birth, gender, and if you have or are interested in a self-managed super fund.
If you have ordered a product from us, the personal information we collect about you includes your email address, your name, postal address, phone number and details of your order and any other information you provided to us as part of the order.
We also collect any personal information you provide to us when contacting or engaging with SuperGuide (including the SuperGuide Premium service) or the SuperGuide Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service).
How we collect it
We collect personal information when you subscribe to our SuperGuide Premium service (or otherwise subscribe to a service of SuperGuide), when you interact with our Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service) or when you contact SuperGuide.
We may collect your personal information when you subscribe to SuperGuide Premium, when you request or acquire a product or service from us, register with us as a reader, provide a product or service to us, complete a survey or questionnaire, enter a competition or campaign, participate in our services or when you communicate with us.
If, at any time, you provide personal or other information about someone other than yourself, you warrant that you have that person’s consent to provide such information for the purpose specified.
Why we collect it
The primary purpose for which we collect your personal information is to provide you with the information, products or services you have requested and/or are provided by SuperGuide (‘Primary Purpose’). We also collect your personal information for any related secondary purpose where you would reasonably expect us to collect your personal information for that secondary purpose and for any other purposes specified at the time at which we collect your personal information (‘Secondary Purposes’).
If you do not provide us with the information that we request, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services. For example, if you do not subscribe to SuperGuide Premium, you will not be able to access features or services that are reserved for subscribers only.
How we use it
In addition to the Primary Purpose and Secondary Purposes, we may use the personal information we collect, and you consent to us using such information:
- to enable you to access and use our Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service);
- to provide you with news and information about our products and services, and opportunities that we believe you may be interested in as well as with other marketing communications (from which you may unsubscribe at any time);
- for purposes necessary or incidental to the provision of goods and services to you;
- to personalise and customise your experiences;
- to manage and enhance our products and services and operate, protect, improve and optimise our Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service);

We may record certain information about your use of the Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service), such as which pages you visited, the time and date of your visit and the internet protocol address assigned to your computer.

We may also disclose personal information, and you consent to us disclosing your personal information, to third parties:
- that are our agents, business partners or joint venture entities or partners;
- that sponsor or promote any competition that we conduct or promote via our services;

We would only disclose your information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.
Accessing and updating your information and how to contact us
Under the Privacy Act, you have certain rights to access and update the personal information we hold about you.
Personal information we hold about you can be accessed by making an access request to us. When you make a request to access your personal information we hold about you, we will ask you to verify your identity and may charge a fee to cover the reasonable costs of meeting your request. If you are a member of our Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service), you will generally be able to access and update your personal information and other membership details online by logging into your account on the Website (including the SuperGuide Premium service).
While we request that you keep your information as current as possible so that we may continue to improve our service to you, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect is accurate, up to date and complete. Considering the purpose for which we hold your personal information, we will take all reasonable steps to correct your personal information after having received a correction request.
