SuperGuide is an independent superannuation information resource founded by Trish Power, author of books such as Superannuation for Dummies and DIY Super for Dummies, and Robert Barnes. You can learn more about us here.
Our aim is to be the most comprehensive source of superannuation information available, and we will always remain free.
Trish has written nearly 500 articles about all aspects of superannuation and below is an overview of how the website is organised. We hope this guide helps you to better navigate through the incredible amount of information available.
At the top of the website you can see the site navigation menu. You can select some of the key categories such as ‘How super works’ or ‘Comparing super funds’, and if you hover over the menu you can also see links to additional related topics, within these key categories.
For instance, hovering over ‘SMSFs’ you can see links to topics such as ‘SMSF Basics’, ‘Setting up a SMSF’, ‘SMSF costs’ and so on.
The home page also features other key topics that are very popular with SuperGuide visitors including THE SOAPBOX (covering topical issues on superannuation), Super & Tax (how your super is taxed), Boost your super (information and strategies on building your super balance), and accessing super (how to access super early and what happens to your super when you retire).
You can also access these popular key topics through the main site navigation menu.
If you have a particular topic or question in mind you should use our search function, because it is very likely that the topic that you are looking for has already been covered.
You can find the search function at the top of the right sidebar.
Our search is powered by Google, and results are displayed in order of relevancy.
We have also included some of the key topics on the sidebar along the right-hand side of the website.
Sometimes within an article you may see a phrase displayed in red with a grey background. If you hover over these you will see a description for that phrase, and by clicking the link you can see some of the other articles that cover that topic.
At the end of each article we list related articles that cover this topic in different ways, or expand on certain issues in more detail.
At the end of each article we also list the topics that the article relates to. By clicking on one of more of the topic links you can find many more articles on that topic or topics.
You can find a list of all topics and articles we have covered in our sitemap here. You can find a link to the sitemap at the bottom of every page.
We also publish a free monthly email newsletter which features all the latest information on superannuation, including Q&As and tips.
We hope you find SuperGuide useful, and if you have any comments, feedback or questions, please let us know.
