Thursday 20 November 2025 at 11:00 am AEDT

Only six super funds have earned the Epic Retirement Tick – a new benchmark recognising funds that deliver strong support for members before, during and throughout retirement.

Join Ian Fryer from Chant West as we unpack what the Tick measures, why it matters, and which funds truly deliver on their promise to support you for life after work.

Q: If I transition to a retirement income account am I still eligible to use bring-forward and carry-forward options to increase my pension pot?

A: Yes, you can still use carry forward and bring forward contribution rules if you have a transition to retirement pension. Contributions must be made to your accumulation account. Pension accounts (including transition to retirement pensions) can’t accept contributions.

Read more about adding contributions when you have started a pension.

Getting closer to retirement sharpens the focus on building your balance and can bring the peak of your potential to save. If your 30 June balance was less than $500,000, take the time to consider turbocharging your super and tax savings by contributing more than the usual annual cap with carry-forward.
