About us

SuperGuide.com.au is a superannuation and retirement planning information website visited by millions of Australians each year. We are an independent media company whose mission is to educate Australian consumers about making the most of their super and plan for retirement.

About the work

One of the many benefits of working with SuperGuide is that the content we produce is completely independent and unbiased, produced solely with the readers’ best interests at heart.

Topics you’ll cover include superannuation, self-managed super funds, retirement planning, Age Pension, tax and investing. You don’t need to be an expert across all these topics, but a solid understanding is essential.

SuperGuide focuses less on ‘news’ and more on covering superannuation and related topics in depth. Often these are how-to guides and checklists incorporating strategies, tips, Q&As and case studies, but we are increasingly educating our audience using more audio-visual aids such as webinars, videos and podcasts.

About you

SuperGuide is looking for writers and financial educators to write and update content on the website, ensuring it is comprehensive, up to date, accurate and high quality.

Working both independently and collaboratively with other expert writers, you will be able to simplify dry and complex topics, making them easier to understand and actionable.

You will have experience writing and developing content that educates everyday Australians about superannuation and retirement in engaging ways, ideally through tools such as calculators, videos, checklists, courses, webinars and podcasts.

The role offers great flexibility. You can work full time or part time, hours that suit you, and either work from home anywhere in Australia or in our office in Sydney.

Qualifications, skills and experience required include:

  • A passion for superannuation education and financial literacy
  • A good understanding of financial advice principles and processes, particularly around planning for retirement
  • Solid writing experience

Not essential but highly desirable:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in the superannuation industry
  • Good working knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience producing videos, podcasts, courses and webinars
  • A tertiary qualification in journalism, communication or related field
  • RG146 qualified
  • SMSF knowledge

We do not accept applications from agencies.
